Cece also introduced me to freecycle. If anyone hasn’t heard of freecycle, then it’s time to discover this amazing social network site for yourself.
It’s a site where you can offer stuff you no longer need to others in your community and send out a request for items you might need. All for free, it’s essentially a recycling project.
And it’s wonderful for baby stuff. Most of the time you can pick up something that’s virtually new because babies out-grow them so fast.
We managed to get hold of an infant car seat, a changing table, a high chair, a cot, and a rocking crib. All of these would’ve cost hundreds of pounds brand new. The items we got are all very sturdy and have a lot of life in them. We’ll probably put them back on Freecyle when Naly outgrows them so someone else can save some money and get some use out of them.
Please check out freecycle and you can register with the area you live in, get rid of your unwanted stuff without dumping it outside your frontdoor too.
